Full and Partial Dentures
Dentures in Staten Island, NY
Want to eat, talk and smile without worrying about your teeth? Dr. Joseph Cipriano makes full and partial dentures with a dental lab and adjusts them so they fit your mouth.
Missing teeth can make eating a chore and smiling something you avoid. Dentures in Staten Island replace them with a set of teeth you can take out. A partial denture fills in where some teeth are missing, and a complete denture replaces all the teeth on your top or bottom. Dr. Joseph Cipriano checks your teeth, gums and bite first, then helps you choose between dentures, a bridge or dental implants in Staten Island.

Getting Fitted for Dentures
How Your Dentures Are Made to Fit
First, Dr. Cipriano takes impressions of your gums where the new teeth will go. He studies your bite and how your teeth line up, and a dental lab makes your dentures from that.
When your first set is ready, he places it in your mouth and adjusts it until it fits properly. Then your final set is made from that fit.
Need a tooth taken out first? Dr. Cipriano does tooth extraction in Staten Island in our office too.
Dentures vs. Dental Implants
Dentures or Dental Implants: Which Is Best for You?
Dentures can be fitted no matter how much jawbone you have, and they replace a few teeth or all of them. They come out for cleaning, and denture adhesive can help hold them in place.
Dental implants are fixed in your jawbone, so you don't have to worry about them slipping when you talk. They need enough healthy bone, and some people need a bone graft first.
All-on-4 and All-on-X hold a full row of teeth on implants when every tooth on the top or bottom is missing. Dr. Cipriano places and restores them in our office.

Dentures FAQs
Questions About Dentures in Staten Island
What's the difference between full and partial dentures?
A partial denture replaces some missing teeth and fills the gaps between your own teeth. A full denture replaces a whole row of teeth. Dr. Cipriano helps you choose after checking your mouth.
How do I take care of my dentures?
Take them out and brush them after meals, and brush away any leftover adhesive. At night, soak them in a denture cleaning solution while you sleep.
Are dental implants better than dentures?
It depends on you. Implants are fixed in the jawbone and don't need adhesive, but they need enough healthy bone. Dentures work no matter how much bone you have. Dr. Cipriano checks your jawbone with 3D X-rays before you choose.
Can I get All-on-4 instead of dentures in Staten Island?
Often, yes. If you're missing all your top or bottom teeth, All-on-4 and All-on-X hold a full row of teeth on dental implants. Dr. Cipriano checks your jawbone first, then places and restores them in our Staten Island office.
How much do dentures cost in Staten Island?
It depends on how many teeth you're replacing and the type of denture, so call (718) 948-1600 to ask about yours. We give you transparent pricing, so you know what you'll pay. No insurance? Our Healthy Smiles Membership Plan is $349 per year.
